A Brief Pause

Sunday’s post will arrive Tuesday.

I got a full week with my kids over the holidays — a gift I don’t take for granted. There’s a statistic that haunts every parent: 75% of the time you’ll ever spend with your children happens before they turn 12. By 18, it’s 90%.

Mine are well past those milestones now. The remaining 10% arrives in fragments—a few days stolen from jobs, partners, and the lives they’ve built. Next year, they’re already warning me, there will be less.

So I took what I could get. The markets will still be there. The analysis will keep. This won’t.
